Vital Society is looking for a temporary full time Program Coordinator to manage, lead, and
supervise the various staff and programs.

Job Duties

• The Coordinator will be responsible for leading a busy program. The position will be required
for monitoring of the daily residential activities as well as supervising and supporting the staff
team to provide quality care (Life Skills, Personal Care, and Community Integration/Inclusion)
• You must demonstrate ability to use applicable software (Com Vida, Nucleus, MS Office,
Relias). This includes administrative responsibilities and deadlines.
• Ensuring compliance with all Community Care Facilities Licensing, WorkSafe BC regulations,
BCGEU collective agreement, as well as participation in the Duty Manager rotation
• Possession of a Class 4 Driver’s License, an acceptable driver’s abstract, a 1st Aid
certificate applicable to Community Care, and an acceptable Criminal Record Check, is require.
• Ability to manage and supervise staff providing activities of daily living including but not
limited to: bathing, community activities, medical appointments, providing meals, and following
care plans as outlined by professionals
• Maintaining positive working relationships with staff and administration involved in
management of staff and care of the persons served
• Able to develop, implement, and servicing of documentation of Person Centered Plans (PCPs)
with staff

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in related Human/Social field
• 3 years related experience including 2 years Supervisory Experience
OR
• Senior Resident Worker/PC1, with Community Support Worker certificate, plus 3 years’
equivalent combination of education and experience, and including 2-year Supervisory experience
• Detailed understanding of CARF standards

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with staff, in a
group home, community settings and with families
• Excellent communication skills in all required formats
• Demonstrate proficiency with documentation
• Full comprehension and ability to navigate technologies and software programs (Com Vida,
Microsoft Word, e-mail, Nucleus etc.) provided
• Demonstrate ability to seek out activities both in and outside the community that meet the
goals of the persons served
• Demonstrate ability to administer medications according the MAR sheet with close attention to
detail
